Absolutely! Joining Passion is completely free and there are loads of things to do. You don't need to register or book. If you're aged 11-18, feel free to join us at any of our gatherings. Click here to see when we're next meeting.
WHY IS PASSION CALLED PASSION?
Passion is a word that evokes a wide range of emotions. The main one being that of new ideas and putting them into action. This is something that the project is still continually working on to help the young people of Shepshed reach their goals and gain their Passion for life.
Financially, Passion relies upon grants and donations. Some of the organisations who help include Leicester Church of England Diocese, Leicestershire Constabulary, Churches Together in Shepshed, Charnwood Borough Council, The National Lottery Community Fund and not forgetting regular donations from the community.
HOW CAN I BENEFIT?
Adult volunteers: training, support, friendships, leads to employment from training e.g. Young People Mental Health First Aid,
Children: involvement, food & drink, develop employment
Absolutely not! Everyone is welcome to get involved with Passion as a volunteer and a young person.
WHO ARE CHURCHES TOGETHER IN SHEPSHED?
Passion was initially founded by Churches Together in Shepshed. Many, but by no means all, of the volunteers attend churches belonging to Churches Together in Shepshed. Find out more about the churches by clicking the links below.
